Fallen Music: Loyalguard - Our first BAND OF THE WEEK

>BIO:

Loyalguard started out during the fall of 2007, when drummer Thomas Björling got sick of playing drums for several reasons. He left his bands and started up a new one, this time handling vocals and guitar.

A second vocalist/guitarist, Daniel Hedin, was pretty soon involved in the project, which quickly became a quartet when drummer Fredrik Lindholm and bass player Erik Snickars joined.

The band's first recording, Same Old Story, was recorded in the beginning of 2008. The demo featured the two songs I Wish and If You Have To Go, which both featured Daniel on lead vocals.

The second recording, Running From Ghosts, was recording later that summer. Three tracks with Thomas on vocals (Time To Give Up, Fragile and Still Around) and one with Daniel (Get Away).

A couple of live gigs were done during 2008, but the focus was still on writing material.

Loyalguard are going to record their third demo in March of 2009. But besides that, 2009 is all about getting gigs and airtime on MySpace and such.

Record labels have shown interest in the group, but for the moment the band is still unsigned.

They are recording four songs during march 20-24 of 2009. They're also doing a video shoot for the song "I Wish" during February 2009.
